your questions, answered

What should I wear?

A modern take on classic black tie, set with a downtown sensibility. Think timeless tailoring with a modern edge, tuxedos or dark suits for men, and unique evening wear for women, from polished cocktail dresses to sophisticated, fashion-forward silhouettes.

We encourage you to express your personal style through pieces that feel elevated, considered, and distinctly your own. Please see below for reference.

IDEAS OF WHAT TO WEAR

Where is the ceremony?

Our ceremony will be held at 53 Scott Ave in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The neighborhood has an industrial character, but simply follow the signage for the wedding of Lauren & James, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival. We can’t wait to welcome you and celebrate together!

We kindly ask that you arrive early for the ceremony. This will allow ample time to find your seat and get settled before the proceedings begin. Please reference the home page for timing details.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Transportation to and from the venue will not be provided; however, taxis and rideshares are readily available throughout both New York City and Brooklyn.

If you are staying at one of the recommended hotels in Williamsburg, we suggest allowing approximately 20 minutes of travel time to reach the venue.

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony?

Street parking will be available in the surrounding area at your own discretion.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Are kids welcome?

While we adore all the children in our lives, our wedding celebration will be an adults-only occasion. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

What weather should I expect?

While the weather in late September is typically pleasant, New York City can feel crisp and transitional, with early hints of autumn in the air. The majority of our event will take place indoors; however, we recommend light layers for the outdoor cocktail hour.

All plus-ones are specified on your invitation. We've thoughtfully planned our guest list, so we kindly ask that you RSVP only for those listed on the invitation.

How do I know if I can bring a plus-one?

When should I arrive to NYC if I’m traveling from out of town?

We recommend that out-of-town guests arrive no later than early afternoon on Friday, September 25th, as we anticipate hosting a casual gathering that evening ahead of the wedding day.

Where should I stay?

Please refer to our travel page for airport and hotel recommendations.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?

Yes, please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies with your RSVP, and we will gladly accommodate.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 17, 2026, though we would greatly appreciate hearing from you sooner if possible.

Will there be an afterparty?

We’re excited to keep the celebration going! An afterparty will begin at 11:30pm hosted in the Test Kitchen at SAA, where all guests are warmly invited to join.

A coat check will be available during the wedding for anyone who would like to change into more party-ready attire for the evening.
